America, I speak. What do your enemies look like? They are probably dark skinned, speaking a gutteral language, praying to the east. So you would think, judging by your headlines. But no. No. America, your enemy is your own people. Your enemy is your own land. Let’s start from the beginning, so that you can understand how it came to be this way. A people landed here and formed colonies, seeking escape from their former land. They had self-esteem issues. They came here and met the native inhabitants of this land, already labeled a false name: Indians. All dark skinned people were the same to the colonialists. Dark skinned people made them feel better about themselves. They were better than these people! These pagans, these savages, were nearly naked—imagine that!—and they had evidently missed out on the European Enlightenment. They had not progressed at all! They were existing in a primitive state. They didn’t even know how to capitalize off of their land! They needed to be taught, about the white God, about the superiority of the advancing European civilization. They had to learn their lessons the hard way: through sickness and death.
The nation of America was founded on the extinction of beautiful organic communities and their unique cultures that had thrived for hundreds of years on this continent and learned to live in a self-sustaining harmony with nature. Whole worlds of wisdom, perceptions, cosmic understandings were destroyed, trampled beneath the feet of the invading settlers.
The story of the slave ships should come as no surprise. Human life was a commodity. And these settlers really had their delusions about being better than everybody else settled in down deep now (a manifestation of their lack of self-esteem), so they felt it made perfect sense to use a human being with black skin as a slave, because if they had black skin it meant that they were different, and if they were different then they were inferior, obviously. If anything, they believed that they were doing the Africans a favor. They were giving them the opportunity to aid in the progress of their superior civilization, and to learn about the powerful white father god.
I think you can begin to see the trend. It continued like this, with the Mexicans, with the Chinese, with the Haitians, you name the ethnic peoples—they were exploited. Because the ultimate thing here, wasn’t harmony, wasn’t understanding, wasn’t love, wasn’t even god. No. It was dead presidents. It was the profit off of the past in the name of the future.
They funny thing is that this new nation was supposed to be the land of the free, of equality and human rights. What that really meant, of course, was that the men with the money in hand would be entitled to free reign of the kingdom, and nothing would be allowed to stand in their way. They were smart, though, because these founding fathers looked into the future and saw that they would need to find a way to continue the dominance of their families indefinitely. And they saw that the way to this was by offering a promise of what no one could attain, yet would work their whole lives in the effort to reach. They offered the people freedom, they offered the people justice. But it was just a method of appeasement. It was a sly trick. Why do you think they put that little pyramid with the eye at the top on all their money?
Progress: like the college, always building, always pointing the attention away from it’s core, what it is doing to its people, look outward
